Jack & Jill Toyshop
Itchy is a big kid at heart, any shop guarded by huge Playmobil
pirates, and inhabited by toy giraffes as tall as us, wins our vote.
Like any good toyshop, Jack and Jill is full of colour, shiny treats
and cuddly critters. It's a shame it sells no Lego other than the sets,
but very few places do these days, and though the book section has a
good collection of picture books the choice for older children is
pitiful. This isn't Toys 'R' Us by any stretch, but that's half its
charm. Shoplifters beware, if you leave without paying the Pirates will
chop your legs off. Yargh!
