Picture House East
The Picture House East is perfect if you fancy a taste of the finer things in life. The decor is fresh yet plush and boasts a lovely large terrace. The food's rather good too. Itchy tucked into the pigeon breast for starters; tender and rich, it left us mouth-wateringly waiting for our main of pork belly. Itchy was somewhat surprised to receive a black pudding with our belly, but we suppose that serves us uncultured minions right for not understanding the meaning of 'boudin noir'. Our only complaint would be the strawberry and rhubarb crumble. Shallow and with a rubbish crumbly topping, it wasn't a patch on Mother Itchy's blackberry and apple favourite. This aside, a fantastic place to enjoy some posh nosh.

29 Jul 2011picture house east bristol - don't ever go!!! worst service EVER as well as mediocre food (and overpriced to start with)... go to cowshed over the road instead. if that's too dear take a macdonalds, the nosh is better and the staff have better manners. details: slowest service ever, items missed off order, staff with horrendous manners, overpriced, steak cooked not as per order (served as 'medium' by waitress when 'medium-rare' requested), customers next to us having wrong drinks delivered with no apology and rude service and wrong bill brought - then a torrent of abuse from the waitress as the bill they brought was for less than our's should have been...an expensively unpleasant experience. would award zero stars if this site gave me the option!
