Period Pieces
If you're the kind of person who comes across a pair of tiny, engraved sherry glasses, an after-dinner card game from the 50s and a Victorian wash-stand and suddenly realises these are the very items your life has been lacking, then Period Pieces is the shop for you. Like a little Bristol-style souk, tucked away on Alma Vale Road, the ever-changing stock of period furniture, rugs, ceramics, pictures and various other knick knacks is obviously chosen with imagination and humour. At the back there's a small studio offering an upholstery service. Most importantly, prices are reasonable and browsing is smiled upon.
