Cyprus Kebab House
It would be easy to bowl past this place and assume it was just another filthy late-night kebab den. But walk under an archway and you are whisked away to a Mediterranean taverna, sort of. Murals of holiday makers and traditional dancers decorate the walls while Greek music tinkles and plinkles away. The place could probably do with a lick of paint but a face-lift would probably destroy its beaten-down charm. The food is traditional Greek Cypriot, home made by the owners. Itchy tried stuffed vine leaves and the paklava (corr blimey) and they were both delicious. Friendly service meant bed could wait.
