Empire & Commonwealth Museum
A massive museum containing 500-years' worth of history, detailing the rise and fall of Britain's overseas empire; this is a great place to discover more about the role this country and its commonwealth played in world affairs. (Stop yawning at the back.) Check out the interactive exhibitions to find out about the slave trade and how Bristol became the multi-cultural, vibrant and wealthy city it is today. Forget the dull reputation given to museums, this is actually damn interesting and there's a lesson to be learned here for everyone.
