Hare on the Hill
Hugely popular with locals and real ale drinkers alike, the Hare is a cute, petite boozer with an comfortingly English feel. Saloon-style doors, a fine selection of whiskies and a wooden interior which has probably been there since the Bronze Age, there's an indulgent feel about the place. In the proud tradition of old pubs, there's hardly any room to move about, but who cares when all you want to do is get snuggled in a corner with your pint. The grub is grand, with generous portions and veggie options, though this will always play second fiddle to the tasty ales and jolly drinking atmosphere.
