Area 81 Rock Club

Do you have a bit of the night prowler in you, prefer getting back in black than, err, white, and having a burning desire to be shot down in flames?

Well, this is Area 81: Bristol town's premier live rock venue. You can certainly get it hot here.

No really, ACDC references aside (for now), this underground rock wonderland will ensure you work up a sweat as you get down to some stonking live music and local DJs pumping out of the 8k watt P.A system.

It goes without saying that this place is all about the rock, so Nu-Ravers, please leave your pink hoodies at the door – or preferably at home.

As you dance (mosh) about among gothic artwork and sweaty bodies (living) in this cavernous, subterranean chamber of a venue, you'll quickly realise that a trip to Area 81 is a very unique experience.

It's doesn't have to be one big highway to the dark place, however.

If you do get a bit sick of the music, Area 81 has a well-appointed chill-out room where you can sit back and cool down with a cheap drink from the fully licensed bar, open till 3am.
