The Rising Sun
Apparently this place used to be chip shop but, given that it's ruddy massive, they'd have to have shifted about a million potatoes a day to have made it worthwhile. Now it's a pub/bar/restaurant and it's also quite nifty. Once inside, its cavernous interior makes it appear as if it has no end – only pool tables, leather sofas and yuppie locals for err, infinity. Luckily this is not the case. Despite not being in New Orleans, it has an energetic vibe, cultured decorations and hosts creatures great and small. Great food and drink for decent prices.
