Books for Amnesty
Browsing in secondhand bookshops can often be a tenuous line to walk. Too often you are met with hoard upon hoard of yellowing tomes of Mills and Boon, supplemented by fifty odd copies of The Da Vinci Code. Yet the Amnesty Bookshop is a real literature lover's haven. Not only is there an intelligent variety and a large selection, but the prices are particularly just. And talking of justice, the dosh that you hand over will be helping out political prisoners all over the world. What a satisfying, mind-expanding way to aid the cause of human rights, man.
