The Georgian House

It's all peacocks and battlements here, in this historic Georgian house. Built in 1790 for a wealthy merchant, it was also the home to his slave, Pero (ahh the wicked history of this city). Preserved and presented in authentic condition, it's completely free, courtesy of the city council. There's classic grandeur here: four floors, eleven rooms and elaborate (and silly) furniture. A small exhibition on the original owner's involvement in the sugar trade and the life of his slave is surprisingly interesting, though it might make you want to pee on the pictures of the bugger.
