Encore
This unpretentious gay-friendly bar is just beginning to get a bit more publicity, and so it should. The atmosphere is lovely, the location is ruddy brilliant and the setting is as comfy as a camp Cheshire cat. Midday you'll find the nine-to-five crew slurping pints rather desperately, but when the lights go out Encore comes into its own. Rest assured, there are no Freddy Mercury nights here. Instead what you'll find are great ales, a corking dance floor, cracking atmosphere and an extensive cocktail menu. It's gay stereotype's prettier and classier younger sister.
