Café Kino
Lovechild of the Cube and the Here shop, Café Kino is the newest member of Stokes Croft's counterculture scene. Don't be put off by the fact that it's vegan (they've made an exception for milk), as the food is so tasty you'll barely notice the absence of flesh. There's always a good assortment of dairy-free cakes on offer, and plenty of tasty lunch options. However, it's Kino's atmosphere that makes it a must-visit. It's a cooperative, so the staff are friendly and happy to chat about anything indie. Keep an eye open for their gigs, art exhibitions and weekly Stitch 'n' Bitch group.
