The Berkeley
Some might say that the Berkeley's period 'whispering dome' arguably gives this pub just a bit more character than your average colony of the JD Wetherspoon empire, but it's debatable whether anyone would want to hear their conversation rattling round this near-silent room (as usual with these places, there's no music). It's no use pretending things are any other way the reason we like it is because it sells large measures at low prices. It's a good place for a very swiftly downed pint on the way into town, but you wouldn't want to make it your local.
