The Shakespeare Tavern
As any schoolboy can tell you, Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, with the river providing a decidedly tenuous link between the bard and Bristol. Indeed, that seems to be the only possible reasoning behind the name of this pub. The Shakespeare Tavern actually has nothing at all to do with the bard, being in fact a wood-panelled, quasi-nautical affair. It's not much of a tavern, either just a fairly ordinary pub with decent food and a few delusions of grandeur. In fact, you could go as far as to call this place the Kenneth Branagh of Bristol pubs. Shudder.
