The Rising Sun
Now, this is a typical 'Scream' pub in every sense. If you went in there to spend a sober-ish evening it'd make you scream in horror. If you saw the ugly lack of atmosphere in there during the day when the place isn't crammed to the brim with braying drunken lunatics cheerily humiliating themselves, it'd make you wail with the despair of aesthetic paralysis. Given this basic premise however, there's many a fun and lively night to be had, particularly on Monday night when everything costs £1. Nice mix of people, in that students from both universities attend, as well as local folks, and all get wasted together.
