The Highbury Vaults
This dark and dingy little gem is beloved by Cotham locals and new–to–towners alike, and for good reason. It's fair to say that the regulars and staff don't suffer fools gladly, to the extent that there's a list of stupid questions written up on a board behind the bar which staff refuse to answer if they get asked them by irritating, posh Bristol students. You can't blame them really, can you? There's also a good line in real ale and great pub grub, along with a big heated garden just made for long balmy summer nights.
