The Prom

Sitting outside in Bristol is often a worse idea than going for a swim with Michael Barrymore. Yet when it's balmy, there's no better place to chill with a pint and good grub than The Prom - Itchy rates their panini (and appreciates that they use the correct plural spelling... Christ on a bike, we're world-class geeks). When it's brisker out, they have heaters to warm you up. And when it's brisker than a cheetah facing the right way in a wind tunnel, they have free wi-fi inside to escape to. But what this venue's really about is top quality live music in a range of genres wider than Rick Waller's backside. There's often an acoustic session on Sundays; bring your guitar down for a group strum. And the one night of the week they're not rocking the roof? Tuesday, when they hold a cracking pub quiz. This, my friend, is the mutt's nuts. We (ahem) Prom-ise.
