If you go and support the local Championship side, whatever you do, don't wear blue. No, not even if it's your wedding day. City play in red and white, and supporters would be wise to attire themselves in these colours to avoid being mistaken for a Bristol Rovers fan (which, trust us, is what is commonly known as 'a fate worse than death'). Locals round here are fiercely loyal to their chosen boys, and very vocal in their support - learn a few offensive chants about Bristo's other key team (something about their mums is usually good) and you'll fit right in.
