The Tobacco Factory
Housed inside the former Wills Tobacco Factory, this place avoided all ambiguity in the naming process – if you're lucky you might catch the odd hammered punter scratting in the corners in search of a crumbly old ciggie when their own supply runs dry. Fortunately they're a little more adventurous when it comes to putting on productions, which range from blood and guts Shakespearean extravaganzas in the form of the gruesome Titus Andronicus, to postmodernist performance art. They play host to touring companies, have an annual Christmas family show, and put on two Shakespeare plays every summer.
