SS Great Britain
The S.S. Great Britain was the world's first large iron ship and was built to provide luxury travel to New York. It was built in 1843 by - go on, take a wild stab in the dark - Brunel. Rumour has it there are actually things in Bristol that good old Isambard Kingdom didn't have a hand in knocking up but we're not convinced. Bridges, ships, railway stations...they'll be trying to tell us he built the Corrie Tap next.
