The Clifton
The Clifton used to be endearingly dingy, offering cheap beer to go with the cheap interior. But, in keeping with the standard Clifton treatment of all cosy locals they've turned all that around, spruced the place up and – no surprise here – jammed up the prices accordingly. The Clifton's now a thoroughly nice place to go for a chilled out wind-down drink on a weekday evening, although Itchy isn't convinced that it wasn't just as much fun (and a hell of a lot cheaper) before.
