The Rock
Quite a trek from the city centre, but for sports fans this is the place to go. The Rock comes alive and awash with alcohol when there's a big match on the large screens. The locals don't seem to mind who's playing as long as it gives them a chance to let off some steam. There's a definite favouritism towards West Ham, so Cambridge's small army of Man United fans have to keep their boasting in check. You can also catch some live music courtesy of various local bands at the weekends. Abandon all hope of having a quiet pint in here. Food: Mon-Fri 6pm-8.45pm
