Rucola
Take a seat under the parasol heaters and watch the world go by as you enjoy a privileged, traffic-fume free spot just off Whiteladies Road. Interior-wise, the place is of the sparse = cool ilk of restaurants, but the food is truly special and reasonably priced. It's all quite Gary Rhodes with piled up stacks of fancy veg, meat and sauces. Try the chargrilled squid with sweet chilli jam to start, or finish with the chocolate delice torte with homemade fresh mint ice cream - unique and probably very naughty, but this is real food designed to give you a sensory work-out. Also great for weekend brekkie, al fresco style.
