Ochios
There's only one Massive Attack, there's only one Banksy and sadly there's only one Caribbean restaurant. In the whole of Bristol. But, thanks to our friends in Ochios, we have a damn fine one to make up for it. As you might expect, the place has a relaxed, chilled out kinda vibe and plenty of Caribbean spirit. Unlike plenty of small restaurants, the cooking is not so much up front and in your face, as downstairs and out of your way with food served via a high–tech lazy waiter –what else? Food wise we're talking all the classics –plantain, jerk chicken, rice and peas, curried goat and salt fish and ackee. All freshly cooked, perfectly spiced and totally fantastic. A trip down Bristol way just ain't complete without a visit to this place. Seriously, we reckon it's a case of eat here or live to regret it. Currently, they're still unlicensed so it's BYO only. At least that means you can bring your own Blue Nun for that special occasion. There's also a takeaway service available if you can't handle the whole tables and chairs thing.
