Hogshead, The

This place has a big front full of windows so you can wander past and remark on just how empty it is inside. One of a chain, they've gone for that modern look, but are by no means ahead of their time. The location may be slightly out of town, but the selection of stupid strength Belgian beers still manages to entice the pissheads to make the short trek up the hill. If you don't fancy rubbing shoulders with Bristol's lowlife then visit during the day for a decent pub meal and a pint of real ale.
