SS Great Britain
When launched in 1843, she was the first iron hulled, screw propeller–driven, steam powered passenger liner in the world, and now the only one left of her kind. She was rescued from the Falkland Islands in 1970 and now stands in a specifically designed dry dock at Bristol's waterside.
