Blackboy Inn, The
Tradition with a capital 'T'. The name of the place refers to Bristol's murky slave-trading past, and judging by the décor, the place hasn't changed in the 200-odd years since it was built. Two bars; one for the sports fans - complete with a shrine to Bristol Rugby Club - and live sports, the other full of welcoming locals who don't stare at you and mutter 'strangers in our midst' amongst themselves as you walk through the door. We like it.
