Recession - Vintage Shopping

A review on Itchy Bristol of Recession, an amusingly-named vintage store in Bristol.

Review

Methodical, systematic shoppers who expect to find clothes hung, neatly spaced, on size-ordered rails will be disappointed by Recession. If, however, you're prepared to root through a granny's attic-style jumble to locate the perfect fifties tea dress you'll be in heaven.

The shop carries a wide selection of second-hand and vintage clothing and accessories, along with other odds and ends such as buttons and make-up cases. It's not all girly stuff either - there's plenty for the boys here too.

The small space is crammed full and it can tend a little towards quantity over quality. But gems are there for the taking, and Itchy would say the extra digging makes those triumphant finds all the sweeter. Love the tongue-in-cheek name too.
