A day of Sundays
After the Saturday night to end all Saturday nights there's nothing better than an oversized OPPO full English breakfast.
Put your hangover to sleep and go for the fried option (is there any other?!) with all the bells and whistles. Alternatively, melt away those mad night memories with a gigantic hot chocolate fully furnished with dreamy cream and marvellous marshmallows.
On the other hand, if Match of the Day was the only highlight you caught on Saturday night then why not hit Sunday in style? The good ship Thekla sets sail with many a cutting edge indie/electro/pop band aboard so that you can dance downstairs or take in some air up on the top deck.
If something a little more down tempo is your idea of a Sunday saviour then whip out your travel card for Start the Bus where you can stop off for some jazz, hip-hop and general grooves that will make you wish Sunday was more than just once a week.
Sometimes the end of the week can leave you looking at the end of your cash but don't despair - there's plenty to do on a Sunday without excavating the sofa. Should the sun shine then simmer on the downs at Stoke Bishop and flip a few flavoursome treats on a disposable barby' - winner! However, should you doubt Bristol's balmy climate then free entry to the Arnolfini awaits where you can enjoy art and entertainment in serene shelter.
Guests on Sundays don't have to be sentenced to endless games of scrabble anymore. Instead unleash your comrades into the city and try exploring @ Bristol, where there is a wealth of knowledge to be enjoyed as well as the beauty of the waterfront surroundings.
Hold on a second though, if all these Sunday services haven't whetted your appetite then prepare for a gastronomically gorgeous roast lunch in Bristol. The Hope and Anchor has it all: delightful décor, a candlelit terrace, nice bar staff and six real-ales on tap! Not to mention excellent value food with the plumpest of portions. Delightful!
